Conversations in English on Trainopolis is a trend that emerged on January 17, 2021 involving conducting a conversation in English, even though the server consists of a Polish-speaking community.
Genesis
Kenex had a breakdown on January 17, 2021 when he realized how terrible the situation was on the UX job market for newbies (much worse than when he had previously checked). After a long search, he found only two offers that did not require at least two years of documented experience, but had one catch - they required completely free communication in English, because some of the employees and clients are English-speaking. And since Kenex doesn't have that skill, he didn't even see the point in applying there.
Due to the breakdown, Kenex decided to write a few messages in English on the #pogaduszki channel as part of his training. Other users picked it up and a long, multi-threaded conversation in English started. When someone uninitiated wrote something in Polish, others pretended to be surprised by the appearance of an incomprehensible language.
